Focus on joint programmes
Call for Applications for the IHP Trimester «Reinventing Rational Points» (April-July 2019)
Every year, the Institut Henri Poincaré in Paris (France) features three focused trimester programs attended by many researchers (professors and students) from France and abroad. Those trimesters provide the ideal environment, through conferences, workshops and courses, to interchange ideas and technics on a specific research area in mathematics or theoretical physics.
Through the CIMPA-CARMIN program the organizers wish to fund, with the support of the Labex CARMIN and the CIMPA, the participation of several young mathematicians from developing countries to the activities of the trimester.
Young scientists (master students soon looking for a PhD, PhD students, postdocs) meeting those criteria and interested in the topics are much encouraged to apply for a support to participate in the IHP trimester «The mathematics of imaging».

As part of the LABEX Carmin initiative, each year CIRM reserves two or three slots in its calendar in order to hold the introduction weeks to programmes that consequently take place at Institut Henri Poincaré, Paris. Participants get a chance to benefit from the special close environment of Cirm and get to know each other well before moving on to Paris where they are housed in various places in the city. This special collaboration with Institut Henri Poincaré is one of the many initiatives set up to reinforce close cooperation links between the infrastructures devoted to mathematics in France. These weeks are largely sponsored by the Labex Carmin.
